As a child Baker, he spent a good amount of time travelling with his parents, who were missionaries. James Colson Baker was depressed and was unemployed when Sonia Alane, his mother was divorced from his family when he was barely 9 years old. Baker relocated to Denver with his dad and stayed there for some time. Others in the community were bullies Baker because he was poor. The rapper began rapping at the age of the sixth grade. Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly was born on the 22nd of April, 1990, in Texas in the U.S. His compositions are known to blend modern hip-hop and rock and alternative music. Baker was signed to Bad Boy Records in 2010 He released four mixtapes from 2007 and 2010. With lyrics that were faster than a bullet train the Cleveland rapper saw a rapid climb to fame in the year. The rapper went from releasing self-released cassettes, to signing with labels. From there his career skyrocketed and each album charting within the top ten.
