Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B for a distinctive mix. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, the singer has done work all over the world. Sunshine's given title is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing and playing piano in church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released exclusively in Japan It was later remixed by many producers and remains an essential part of her live sets. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of all of the country during daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
